Working at ESPN, I've been able to work on a number of animation projects and not restrict myself to flat/print design. It's challenging to design for animations and to think about the movement and flow of an image or type right now and how it will look in a few seconds on a different part of the screen. It certainly takes a different style of designer to be able to animate, this is a skill I've been working hard to gain and strengthen. The reel below shows custom lower thirds and full screen animations which I created for on-air programs, the NBA animations were a templated background and I customized the selection and movement for the images and type.

In the Summer of 2007 I interned at ESPN in Bristol, Connecticut in the Creative Services Department. An all around great experience. I was very lucky to work on a variety of projects. I rotoscoped a few clips on their big summer project, "Who's Now?". I worked on the type layout on NFL and College Football font ends. On a daily basis I was responsible for producing plasma graphics to appear on various programs. Whenever there was a logo project, I was given a chance at designing those as well.
